Connecting Athean with Zoom

Set up your team's Zoom connection, authorize the right account, and check the calling or meeting workflow you need.

Overview

Connect Zoom to support your team's calling and meeting workflows in Athean. The capabilities available to you depend on your organization's Zoom setup. We work directly with your team to prepare the connection and help you verify the workflow you need.

Start with Athean support and your organization administrator. Share whether you need Zoom Phone, meeting activity, or both, and which teammates will use the connection.

What data we access

Your connected setup can make Zoom meeting and phone activity available in Athean so your team can review conversations with account context. Review the permissions shown during authorization and confirm the data and workflows included in your setup with your administrator or Athean support.

How to connect Athean with Zoom

You need an active Athean account and the Zoom work account intended for this connection. Your organization administrator and Athean support will help prepare the setup and provide the appropriate authorization link.

  1. Contact support with your organization, the teammates' work email addresses, and the Zoom workflow you want to enable. We will work directly with your team to confirm the setup and next steps.
  2. Sign in to Athean, open the authorization link supplied for your organization, and use the intended Zoom work account.
  3. Review the requested permissions. Follow any app approval process Zoom presents, then authorize the connection when ready. Our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use explain how we handle data.
  4. Wait for Athean to show Connection successful. You may safely close this page. If it shows an error, share that message with support before continuing.

Check the workflow after connecting. For Zoom Phone, follow Dialer and call settings to choose Zoom Phone and save your call mode. Use Open Zoom Phone for the controls during your next planned call, then review the expected call activity in Athean. For calendar recording and recaps, follow Meeting assist and confirm the meeting setup your team uses.

Managing your Zoom connection

Change, reconnect, or disconnect Zoom

Work with your organization administrator and Athean support. Include the affected work email addresses, whether the change is for an individual or the whole team, and the calling or meeting workflows involved. We will help you make the change and check the resulting connection state.

Data removal requests

Users can exercise their right to have Zoom data permanently removed from Athean by contacting either your organization administrator or Athean support at support@athean.com.

When the connection needs attention

If you do not have an authorization link, need app approval, or see an authorization error, contact support with your organization, work email, and the message shown. Athean's current personal Integrations screen manages Google, Microsoft, and LinkedIn; use the Zoom setup arranged for your organization.

If authorization succeeds but expected activity is missing, include one example call or meeting, its time, and what you expected to see. A successful authorization confirms the account connection; check the intended workflow separately.
