Integrate more platforms

Ask Athean to connect your CRM, enrichment providers, data warehouse, and internal systems, connect them through the Integration API or MCP, or call their APIs with API secrets.

Systems Athean can connect for you

Beyond the connections you set up yourself in Settings → Integrations and Org settings, Athean's team works with yours to connect other systems. Common requests include:

  • CRMs: Salesforce supports record sync, field mappings, writebacks, live fields, Salesforce filters, and leads; to connect it, see Connecting Athean with Salesforce. HubSpot and other CRMs are connected with Athean's help, and what syncs depends on the setup.
  • Data and enrichment providers: ZoomInfo, intent data providers such as Demandbase, and other enrichment vendors.
  • Product, billing, and warehouse data: Product usage, billing systems, support desks, partner portals, and your data warehouse.
  • Internal tools: In-house applications, internal databases, and scheduled data exports.

What's possible depends on the system and your workflow; chat with us before planning around a connection.

How custom integrations work

External systems can work with Athean in five ways:

  • Managed connections: Athean's engineering team sets up a sync from your CRM objects, data warehouse tables, or internal APIs, so the data appears in Athean, for example as signals or account and contact fields.
  • Integration API (organization API keys): Administrators create API keys in Org settings → API & MCP. Tools such as Clay, Zapier, and Make, or your own services, use a key to read, create, and update accounts and contacts, publish signals, and read task and signal counts. See API setup.
  • MCP: Connect an AI assistant that supports MCP, such as Claude, to your own Athean account. The connection signs in as you and uses your current permissions; it doesn't use an organization API key. See Use Athean from another AI assistant.
  • API secrets: Save a service's API key or token in Settings → API secrets and choose who can use it. Chat, agents, automations, custom dashboards, and AI assistants connected through MCP can then call that service's HTTPS API without seeing the value. Custom dashboards can only read from the service. The service must be reachable over the public internet. See API secrets.
  • Automations: Run an automation on a schedule, when a Salesforce record changes, or when something happens in Athean, such as an email reply or a task coming due. Automations can create signals, send Slack messages, and update records, and every run is real. See Event-triggered automations.
