Describe the question you want to answer
Use Dashboards for the standard reporting views. Use Custom dashboards when you want your own combination of metrics, filters, charts, and interactions.
- Open Custom dashboards under Activity and select New dashboard.
- Describe the audience, data, time window, and question the dashboard should answer.
- Specify the controls you need, such as a date filter, sortable table, or chart that reveals more detail.
- Send your request and review the dashboard Athean builds alongside the conversation.
You can also start with Rep leaderboard, Call outcomes board, or Sequence task tracker, then adapt the request.
Try a clear dashboard brief
Build a dashboard for our weekly team review. Show calls, emails, and meetings by rep for this quarter, with a sortable table and a chart of the top 10. Add a date filter. Explain the data sources and how each metric is calculated.
Explain the decision you want to make, as well as the numbers you want to see. For example, ask to identify accounts that need attention or find where tasks are accumulating.
The data available depends on your connected systems and access. To bring in another platform or internal source, see Integrate more platforms.
Review the data and refine the dashboard
Use the dashboard's filters and interactions, then compare a few results with the underlying records. Ask Explain this dashboard to understand its sources, calculations, and controls.
When you can edit, continue the conversation or use Change metrics or layout, Add a filter, and Fix an interaction. Be specific about the part you want changed and the result you expect.
Select Refresh to refresh the dashboard. If Athean reports that the refresh was only partial, some content may still be out of date; resolve that before relying on the results.
If you have view access, you can explore the dashboard and ask how it works. Editing and management actions depend on your permissions.
Keep useful versions and manage your library
Use the dashboard's More dashboard actions menu to Rename, Duplicate, or open Version history when available.
In Version history, use Save current version to keep a checkpoint before a substantial change. Select Restore on a saved version to return to it.
Return to Custom dashboards to find dashboards by title or owner. Move to trash removes a dashboard from the active library; use Trash and Restore to bring it back where you have permission.
