Create and use snippets

Use snippets for content you reuse within emails, such as an introduction, a product explanation, or a follow-up question.

1. Open Sequences → Snippets.
2. Select Add, then Create new.
3. Give the snippet a recognizable Name and write its Content. Use the formatting controls for links, emphasis, and lists.
4. Use Insert variable when the content needs information such as a contact's name, then select Save.

New snippets start with Owner only access. Organization administrators and people permitted to view all snippets can also access them. Creation, editing, and sharing controls depend on your permissions.

Select Add → Browse library to open the Snippet library. Search by name or content, inspect a snippet, and use Add to my library to keep an accessible snippet ready for use. The Featured tab highlights accessible snippets that your team has featured.

The main Snippets page brings together your own snippets, your personal saves, and snippets placed in your library for you or your groups. Search the table or use Saved by me to find your personal saves.

Remove my save removes your personal save. A snippet placed in your library by an administrator may still appear. Delete deletes the snippet itself and is available only with the required permission.

1. Open an email draft or an email step in a sequence template.
2. Place the cursor where the content should go, then select the quotation-mark control, Insert Snippet.
3. Search your available snippets and select one to insert its content.
4. Review the result, personalize it for the recipient, and check any variables before sending or saving the step.

In an email composer with a recognized recipient, Athean can fill variables from the contact, account, and sender. In a template editor, variables remain available for later personalization. Missing recipient context or data can leave variables unresolved, so review the actual message.

Insertion copies the snippet's current content into the editor. You can edit that draft independently; later changes to the saved snippet do not rewrite content already inserted into a draft or template.

Open a saved snippet and select Share when available. The settings answer three separate questions:

• Access: who can view and use it. Choose Owner only, selected People and groups, or the Entire organization.
• Add to libraries: whose library should include it. Recipients still need Access for it to appear.
• Featured: whether it is highlighted for people who can access it.

Save the sharing changes, then ask a teammate to check their library and insertion picker. If a snippet is missing, review both Access and library placement or personal saving. Featuring a snippet does not grant access.

To update the wording, open the snippet, edit its content, and select Save. If it opens as Preview snippet, you can read it but do not have editing access. See Permissions and roles or contact support for help.
